Main Duties for the HGV Technician:
* Conduct maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs on commercial vehicles and trailers
* Identify faults through testing and inspections, then carry out high-quality, permanent repairs
* Complete all relevant documentation for warranty, retail, and contractual work
* Perform preventative maintenance tasks to reduce customer downtime
* Collaborate with colleagues and undertake additional tasks as directed by the Shift Supervisor
* Support the team in maintaining workshop efficiency and high standards of workmanship
Candidate Specification:
* NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance xsngvjr
* Proven experience in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing commercial vehicles
* Up-to-date manufacturer training and strong technical knowledge
* Organised, methodical, with excellent attention to detail
* Full UK driving licence; HGV licence is preferred but not essential
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
