At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations. In relation to Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker roles, we are currently able to recruit successfully from the domestic labour market and have a sufficient pool of suitably qualified and appointable candidates. As a result, visa sponsorship is not available for this role at this time. This position is kept under regular review and may change in the future should labour market conditions or service requirements alter.
Main duties of the job
The Emergency Department is currently undergoing a dynamic and positive phase of development and transformation. As part of this exciting journey, we are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated Band 3 Clinical Support Workers to join our substantive Emergency Department team.
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide essential clinical care to patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
You will be expected to carry out a range of delegated clinical duties, applying and further developing the skills required within the clinical setting. These duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Recording patient observations
* Performing ECG monitoring
* Conducting urinalysis and pregnancy testing
* Undertaking bladder scanning
* Performing venepuncture (training will be provided)
Accurate, timely, and comprehensive documentation of all clinical activities is essential. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of record-keeping within the nursing documentation.
Excellent communication skills are vital, as the role involves working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and communicating effectively with patients and their families.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE level 4/C or Level 2 equivalent, including Maths and English (ECCTIS is required for overseas qualifications)
* Hold a full Care Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (NVQ MUST be from an accredited awarding body)
Experience
* 12 months experience in a professional contract as a Healthcare Assistant or equivalent
