Overview
TipTopJob is seeking an experienced and reliable Legal Secretary to support a busy Family Law Department in South Yorkshire, United Kingdom. The role offers a stable position within an established family department.
Responsibilities
* Provide high‑quality secretarial and administrative assistance to Fee Earners, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the department.
* Audio and copy‑type correspondence, court documents and legal forms.
* Manage diaries, appointments and court deadlines.
* Prepare and bundle documents for court hearings.
* Open, maintain and close client files in line with compliance requirements.
* Liaise with clients, courts and third parties in a professional and confidential manner.
* Assist with general administrative tasks to support the wider team.
Candidate Profile
* Prior experience as a legal secretary, ideally within a family law department.
* Strong audio typing and IT skills.
* Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail.
* Professional, empathetic manner when dealing with clients.
* Capacity to manage competing priorities, work to deadlines and work effectively as part of a team.
* Experience with case management systems and knowledge of family court procedures is advantageous but not essential.
