The Role
As Depute Lead Practitioner, you'll play a key leadership role, working alongside the Lead Practitioner to manage daily operations, support your team, and ensure children receive the highest standard of care. You'll be a hands-on leader, mentor, and role model who brings energy, creativity, and compassion to everything you do.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead with Purpose: Inspire and guide a team of childcare professionals to deliver engaging, child-led experiences.
* Ensure High Standards: Maintain a safe, welcoming, and compliant environment in line with regulatory and MACS standards.
* Build Partnerships: Foster strong relationships with children, families, and community stakeholders.
* Support Team Growth: Assist with staff development, training, and motivation.
* Drive Continuous Improvement: Champion quality enhancement through reflection, feedback, and innovation.

What You'll Bring
* Minimum SCQF Level 7 in Childhood Practice (or working towards it)
* 2+ years in childcare, including 1+ year in a leadership role
* Strong knowledge of childcare regulations and safeguarding practices
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A warm, enthusiastic, and solutions-focused attitude
* SSSC registration and PVG eligibility (we can assist if needed)
* Confidence in using IT systems and supporting change
