The role
Join our friendly Information Governance team at The London Clinic, supporting the day-to-day running of our data protection and compliance work. You'll manage routine admin tasks, be a helpful point of contact for staff, follow up on outstanding actions, and prepare papers for meetings.
The role includes carrying out spot checks, helping maintain accurate records, and supporting colleagues with data protection processes for both clinical and non-clinical information. You'll also help monitor for any security incidents and ensure they're logged and updated.
We're looking for someone with:
* Experience in compliance and regulated environments (healthcare a plus)
* Good attention to detail and organisational skills
* An understanding of data protection and GDPR
* Confidence communicating with different teams

Key Duties
* Keep day to day records of queries and response times so trends can begin to be understood and efficiencies implemented.
* Secretariat function for the Information Governance Committee and other sub groups - create timetable, book meetings, chase open actions, collect updates on open actions, create agenda and monitoring reports.
* Policy implementation - follow IG policies and procedures and give first-line advice to others in the organisation.
* Data entry and record keeping for training, SARS, breach management, etc. including progress chasing to ensure timely resolution and meeting GDPR required deadlines.
* Compliance support - assist with compliance activities such as audits, DPIAs, retention and training schedules.
* Incident reporting - act as first point of contact for reporting of IG incidents, escalate and set up correct records.
* Assist with the maintenance and monitoring of the IG Risk Register, ensuring that risks are regularly reviewed by the appropriate risk owners and that associated actions are followed up within the specified deadlines.
Skills and Experience
* Experience in an information governance/compliance role or records management, ideally within healthcare and/or regulated environments (for e.g. financial services).
* Proficient in MS Office.
* Understanding of key principles and concepts of data protection law set out in UK GDPR, DPA 208 and Human rights Act 1998 and how they work in practice within the organisation.
* Attention to detail - high attention to detail for managing records and ensuring accuracy and completeness in documentation and reporting.
* Able to plan and organise own work to meet targets, deadline and priorities.
* Excellent communication skills to engage with staff and ensure that IG has a good and positive / approachable reputation within the organisation.
* Strong organisational skills to support record keeping, incident management and compliance tracking.
