Job Purpose

As a Cleaner, you will ensure cleaning is done according to the contract specifications and schedule. You will adhere to Health & Safety/C.O.S.H.H. regulations and maintain equipment/stock levels. You will also liaise with clients as needed.

Responsibilities

* Ensuring cleaning is carried out as per the contract specification and work schedule.
\n
* Fulfilling other duties as required.
\n
* Working alongside your team with no supervisory responsibility.
\n
* Working with your team with no budgetary responsibility.
\n
\n

Requirements

\n
\n
* Have previous experience within a cleaning environment.
\n
* Be aware of the use of chemicals and prioritise Health and Safety at all times.
\n
* Be able to understand and complete instruction when tasked.
\n
* Be able to work alone and as part of a team.
\n
* Be flexible to meet the needs and demands of a changing environment.
\n

Important information

\n

Please note that the annual salary advertised is for a full-time role, based on 35.00/37.00 hours per week. If the position you are applying for is part time or you are only going to be working part of the year, i.e., a term time contract for 38 or 39 weeks per year, the annual salary will be paid on a pro-rata basis including a number of additional weeks for annual leave entitlement when the position is term time.

Additional information

We are looking for someone to join our mobile squad cleaning team as part of this role you will be fixed to 10 hours in our mailroom at council head quarters.

\n

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
* If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability. Should it be possible to make such an adjustment in order that you can undertake the travel responsibilities of the post, this will be taken into account in consideration for this role.
