We have an exciting opportunity to join The Royal Marsden for an 18‑month term as a Programme Director for Systemic Anti‑Cancer Therapy (SACT).
The Programme Director will lead and be responsible for a Trust programme of work to develop and test a digital remote pathway for patients with breast cancer, enabling remote monitoring and delivery of medications directly to patients without needing to attend the hospital sites. They will be responsible for all workstreams within the programme to ensure the programme is led, managed effectively, and delivers on its objectives. They will report directly to the Director of Operations – Cancer Services.
Key Responsibilities
* Use highly developed leadership and influencing skills with the ability to enthuse, motivate and involve individuals and teams across the programme.
* Develop and identify relationships with key strategic local, regional and national policy makers to inform development of strategy and policies, using political judgement and astuteness in understanding and working with complex policy and diverse interest groups.
* Deploy expert communication, negotiation and influencing skills to build and maintain excellent working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders on a range of business‑sensitive issues, driving and challenging each key working relationship to innovate and achieve reform in accordance with agreed programme objectives.
Required Experience and Skills
You will bring experience in programme management, improvement methodologies and data analysis, as well as excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills. You will have matrix management responsibilities and a proven, credible management approach.
