Overview
Role: Electrician - Heat pumps (Self employed/subcontractor)
This role involves working as a team of electricians on industrial and water industry programmes, primarily around the South West London and Surrey area and surrounding regions for SES Water. It is a permanent role contracted to 40 hours per week on site, Monday to Friday, paid hourly with overtime. Travel time is paid door to door on top of contracted and overtime hours.
Responsibilities
* To be responsible for completing electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 and Bridges Electrical Safety Rules and Essential Standards
* Ensure that all Health and Safety legislation and regulations are adhered to
* Ensure that all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the project's quality plan and inspection and test plans
* To follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment and to be empowered to stop work should unsafe circumstances arise
* To coach and mentor Electrical Improvers and Apprentices
* Promote and demonstrate the Bridges values when dealing with peers, staff, customers and clients
* Promote positive health and wellbeing amongst peers
* To act in a professional manner and be an ambassador for Bridges, supporting the business goals and maintaining the company’s positive reputation
Requirements
* ECS gold card (essential)
* Experience within water / construction industry
* Industrial and/or panel wiring experience (desirable)
* Able to manage own and others workload with minimal assistance from Project Managers in delivering safe profitable projects
* Appropriate City & Guilds trade Qualification
* Fitness to work medical
* Full UK driving licence
