Responsibilities
* Make up extraction solution by following the Standard Operating Procedures and dispense solution into extraction pots.
* Scoop samples into individual extraction pots. High attention to detail is required to ensure no errors while working with high-volume workload.
* Place extraction pots into shaker machinery and once completed pour into filtration unit through filter paper.
* Operate Subsampling Unit to place samples into tubes ready for analysis.
* Perform maintenance on the equipment when required.
* To work in other preparation roles within the company as the workload dictates.
* Maintain Cawood credibility by always portraying a positive image; keeping equipment, and PPE clean.
* Respect company equipment and use as per guidelines. Report any damage to management as soon as possible.
* Work as a team and maintain morale and actively offer help and assistance wherever possible.
* Understand and follow the Standard Operating Procedures provided.
* Keeping safety at the forefront of laboratory work and being proactive ensuring accidents and near misses are always reported straightaway to managers in line with our company accreditation and policy.
* When required, assist with on-site training of new employees providing support and ensuring their onboarding into the company is friendly, engaging and inspiring.
