We are seeking a talented and creative Web Designer to join our dynamic team. Your expertise in various design tools and programming languages will play a crucial role in enhancing our online presence.
Responsibilities
* Design visually appealing and responsive websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
* Collaborate with developers to implement designs using frameworks such as Angular and React.
* Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to effectively communicate design ideas using tools like Axure, Balsamiq, and Figma.
* Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and improve user experience (UX).
* Maintain website functionality through regular updates and troubleshooting issues.
* Optimise websites for search engines (SEO) to enhance visibility and traffic.
* Work with content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal, and SharePoint to manage website content.
* Utilise Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, After Effects) for graphic design tasks.
* Implement responsive web design principles to ensure compatibility across various devices.
* Collaborate with marketing teams on email marketing campaigns using platforms like Mailchimp.
* Analyse website performance using Google Analytics to inform future design improvements.
Experience
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
* Proficiency in front-end development technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, AJAX,, SQL, and MySQL.
* Solid understanding of digital design principles including interaction design (UI), information architecture, graphic design, and usability.
* Familiarity with version control systems such as Git for collaborative projects.
* Experience with responsive web design techniques and frameworks like Bootstrap.
* Knowledge of data analysis skills to interpret user data effectively.
* Ability to work with various design tools including Sketch, InVision, Adobe Flash, Adobe Acrobat, Telerik, SCSS, Redux, and Less (style sheet language).
