The Role: We're looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and caring Swimming Teaching Assistant to support our growing team. As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside our qualified Swimming Teachers to help deliver engaging, structured, and safe swimming lessons to small groups of children. Your role is key in ensuring every swimmer feels welcomed, supported, and encouraged throughout their journey in the water.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support Swimming Teachers in delivering fun and effective lessons to children
* Engage warmly with swimmers and their families to build trust and rapport
* Help manage class safety and support swimmers in the water as needed
* Assist with setting up and packing away equipment
* Observe and help track swimmer progress under the direction of the lead teacher
* Represent Swim Superb with professionalism and positivity
What We're Looking For:
* A love for working with children and a positive, can-do attitude (essential)
* Strong communication and teamwork skills (essential)
* Reliability, enthusiasm, and a nurturing nature (essential)
* Confidence in the water and willingness to get wet during lessons (essential)
* A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
* Previous experience in swimming lessons, childcare, or teaching support (desirable)
* ASA/Swim England/STA Assistant qualifications (desirable but not essential – training opportunities available)
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed

Wednesday - 4:00 - 7:00pm (Shaw Hill)
