Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the overall maintenanceand cleanliness of the Head Office in Kenley.This role involves managing the building, coordinating with externalsuppliers, and ensuring the premises are safe and compliant with allhealth and safety regulations. The ideal candidate is proactive, highlyorganised, and committed to providing a secure and well-maintainedwork environment. Key Responsibilities General Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct routine inspections to identify and address maintenance needs. Perform minor repairs to plumbing, electrical, and structural components. Manage and monitor a log of all maintenance activities. Building Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the office building. Ensure all common areas are clean, tidy, and presentable. Supplier and Contractor Coordination: Serve as the main point of contact for all building-related suppliers, including cleaning services, waste management, landscapers, and air conditioning contractors. Obtain and manage quotes for repair or maintenance work. Air Conditioning Maintenance: Oversee the general maintenance and servicing of all air conditioning units, working with external suppliers to ensure optimal performance and regular servicing. Permits and Compliance: Ensure all necessary work permits for contractors are in place and that the work is performed according to health and safety standards. Keep up-to-date with relevant regulations and ensure the office is fully compliant. Health and Safety: Regularly inspect the office for potential hazards. Respond to and resolve any safety issues promptly. Maintain a log of all incidents and actions taken. Stock Management: Monitor and maintain an inventory of all cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment. Order new stock as needed to ensure the office is always well-supplied. Waste Management: Manage the office's recycling and waste disposal programmes. Ensure waste is sorted correctly and collected on schedule. Security: Assist with the office's security by ensuring all doors and windows are locked at the end of the day. Report any suspicious activity to management. Requirements Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or in a similar role. Basic understanding of IT and cabling. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance procedures. Basic plumbing, A/C, electrical, and carpentry skills. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks. Emergency response and out of hours escalation if required
