What You’ll Be Doing As a Quality Inspector, you’ll play a hands-on role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards before they reach our international customers. You’ll: Inspect incoming components — from visual checks of finishes and paint quality to micron-accurate measurements using advanced metrology equipment such as micrometers, CMMs, and laser scanners. Inspect outgoing assemblies, verifying that all documentation and quality records are complete and correct. Support and conduct Factory Acceptance Testing to ensure products meet required standards before release. Work closely with Engineering and Production teams to identify and resolve quality issues quickly and effectively. Maintain accurate inspection records and contribute to the continual improvement of our inspection and quality processes. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for getting things right first time. The ideal candidate will bring: Attention to detail: experience working in an inspection or precision-focused role. Surface finish knowledge: understanding of paint, anodising, and surface finish standards. Metrology experience: confident using micrometers, vernier callipers, plug/thread gauges, and surface roughness tools. Technical ability: strong maths skills and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Accurate documentation ability: comfortable recording inspection data, documenting non-conformances, and logging test reports accurately. Industrial background: experience in mechanical or electrical industrial environments such as automotive, machine shop, component inspection, electronics/electrical manufacturing, or similar sectors. Graduate suitability: Candidates can be qualified by time in industry OR a Mechanical Engineering graduate with exposure to, and enthusiasm for, quality and inspection practices could be well suited. Desirable: experience with CMMs or laser scanners, calibration of measurement tools, prior work in defence/aerospace, and a creative, problem-solving mindset with strong communication skills.
