Electrical Site Service Engineer Based at: West Midlands Technical Centre (Wednesbury area) Salary: £36,000 – £40,000 Overtime Van Benefits Hours: 40 hours per week Travel: UK-wide, with overnight stays About the Role We’re recruiting for a leading UK manufacturer of bespoke HVAC units known for high-quality engineering and long-term client partnerships. This is a hands-on, field-based position involving the electrical installation, wiring, and refurbishment of large, custom-built equipment for commercial and industrial sites across the UK. You’ll work alongside mechanical engineers to ensure that each project is safely and accurately assembled, wired, and tested to the highest standard. Key Responsibilities Install, service, and maintain bespoke Air Handling Units on customer sites. Complete electrical installation of fans, motors, pumps, and other components using CAD drawings and wiring schematics. Carry out electrical testing, inspection, and quality checks in line with current regulations. Support mechanical engineers with assembly work where required. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and technical issues on site. Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and colleagues to ensure smooth project delivery. Travel across the UK, with regular overnight stays (paid allowances provided). Support assembly, testing, and inspection work at the West Midlands depot when not on site. What You’ll Need Essential: Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent) 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Strong practical skills with hand tools and mechanical assemblies Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel/stay away as required Desirable: Experience with Air Handling Units (AHUs) or HVAC systems CSCS card Previous experience on construction or site-based projects What’s in it for you? £29,000–£33,000 basic salary.
