Composite Operative - Belfast
Location: Belfast
Contract: 12‑month initial contract (high likelihood of extension)
Hours: 36 hours per week, shift‑based (39.5% shift premium applies)
Pay: £16.25 per hour PAYE / £21.74 per hour Umbrella
Security: BPSS+ clearance required (completed by Airbus Security)

What You'll Be Doing
As a Composite Operative, you'll manufacture a range of aerospace components to exacting engineering standards. Your role will involve:
Core Responsibilities
Producing composite components using various materials in line with engineering and quality requirements.
Following defined processes, using supplied materials, tooling, and detailed work instructions.
Preparing, cutting, and laying up composite materials for autoclave curing.
Carrying out finishing operations on cured components and associated tooling.
Maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant working environment at all times.
Reading and understanding work instructions and production documentation.
Working flexibly across shift patterns and completing overtime where required.
What You'll Bring
Essential
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Warehouse or production experience.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer literacy.Desirable
Experience within the aerospace sector.
NVQ Level 2 in a manufacturing or engineering discipline (or equivalent).
Manual Handling training.
