The Role
Are you passionate about nurturing young minds and creating a magical learning environment where children flourish? Do you have experience in early years education and a desire to provide dedicated support? Then this could be the dream role for you.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Level 3 Early Years and SEN Practitioner to join our friendly Nursery team.
In addition to your role as a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, you will be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities
1. Ensure all practitioners in the setting understand their responsibilities to children with SEN and the setting's approach to identifying and meeting SEN.
2. Advise and support colleagues.
3. Ensure parents are closely involved throughout and that their insights inform action taken by the setting.
4. Adapt learning activities to suit the child’s unique needs, ensuring inclusion within the nursery setting.
5. Implement strategies from professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists.
Skills
6. A relevant qualification in Early Years or Special Educational Needs, desirable not essential
7. Experience working with children with additional needs, ideally in an early years setting
8. A strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and EYFS framework.
9. Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to working with children
10. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with staff, families, and external specialists
11. A passion for inclusive education and supporting children to reach their full potential
Hours, Salary & Benefits
Hours: 40 hours per week, 4.5 days. Mon - Fri year round.
Salary: £13.80 ph / £28,704.00 pa
