THE COMMISSIONERS OF NORTHERN LIGHTHOUSES require a TECHNICAL SYSTEMS OFFICER About Us The Northern Lighthouse Board is the General Lighthouse Authority for Scotland and the Isle of Man, responsible for the superintendence and management of all lighthouses, buoys and beacons within those waters. We have provided this vital safety service to mariners since 1786. The Role – Overview Based at the NLB’s Headquarters in Edinburgh, as Technical Systems Officer you will implement the ICT rolling replacement programme, reviewing user requirements, specifying and installing hardware. Manage build images and configurations to quickly deploy new equipment. Update and maintain hardware and software records within the ICT asset management system. Investigate emerging hardware/software technologies and provide detailed technical support to resolve hardware and software issues for NLB users. Salary and Benefits £36,867 per annum rising to £39,920 after 1 year in post.
