As a Break support worker you'll be working hands on day in day out with the young people living in the children's home. The first twelve months of your time at Break will see you build relationships with the young people we care for and support in our homes. Day to day you may find yourself planning and taking part in trips and activities and learning new skills to help young people overcome communication difficulties. Every milestone in our disability services is celebrated and treasured. We can't promise every day will be easy, but we can promise the sense of pride you'll feel for the young people you support and care for. You'll need to be an excellent team player who is warm, caring, calm and resilient enough to cope with the complex emotional and behavioural needs of the young people we support. You will need to successfully complete an NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare before you complete 24 months of Support Work. This will be fully funded by Break and you will be supported by our training team. Please note that you must have a full, valid, manual driving licence.
