The powerhouse behind Steven Bartlett’s ventures - fueling innovation across media, investment, and technology.
The Mission
The Steven Bartlett Private Office (SBPO) London headquarters is the operational heart of his growing portfolio of entrepreneurial businesses and ventures, including FlightStory. It is a high-performance environment where teams create, partners visit, founders collaborate, and content and ventures are built at pace.
Your work will define the atmosphere of the organisation; not just how the space looks and functions, but how it feels to walk through the door each morning. From team rituals to workplace standards, you’ll work alongside FlightStory’s Director of Culture on initiatives that connect people, enhance culture, and drive momentum.
As Head of HQ Experience, you will set the operational standard for how this building functions, feels, and performs every day. You will take full ownership of the physical infrastructure, facilities services, and building-wide systems that enable multiple businesses to operate seamlessly under one roof.
Working closely with the tenant leadership teams, building management, and external partners, you will ensure the HQ runs as a secure, compliant, and highly effective workspace. From supplier performance and compliance to capital projects and studio monetisation, you will oversee every detail that keeps the building operating smoothly and professionally.
You will take ownership, lead from the front, and represent the Founder’s Private Office as the anchor of our shared building ecosystem. If you’re someone who thrives on variety, accountability, and the opportunity to build something that lasts; this is your chance to shape the physical and cultural engine of one of the UK’s most ambitious founder-led organisations.
Day-to-Day
Building Operations & Facilities Management
You will act as the day-to-day operational lead for the London HQ, managing all facilities services.
* You will serve as the central point of contact between SBPO, sub-tenants, and external building management. This includes managing onboarding and operational setup for new or temporary occupants, coordinating licence agreements and subleases, and securing landlord consents where required.
* You will oversee all hard and soft services, including cleaning, security, utilities, waste management, service charges, business rates, and supplier coordination. Procurement and contract management for all building-related services will sit firmly under your ownership, including performance tracking, renewals, SLAs, KPIs, and issue resolution.
* You will maintain and oversee all core building systems such as access control, CCTV, alarms, HVAC, IT, and security infrastructure, ensuring systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory requirements.
Workplace Experience & Front of House
* You will be responsible for maintaining a professional, high-functioning headquarters that reflects the Founder’s impeccable standards and supports daily operations across multiple businesses.
* You will oversee the front-of-house environment, ensuring reception, guest check-in, post and courier handling, intercoms, and security operate seamlessly in collaboration with tenant teams. You will set and enforce workplace standards for cleanliness, presentation, access control, and shared space usage across the building.
* You will lead day-to-day issue resolution related to building services, responding quickly to minimise disruption and maintain momentum across the site. Regular site audits relating to environment, health and safety will form part of your remit, ensuring the HQ remains safe, compliant, and well presented at all times.
* You will lead compliance across all regulatory requirements including health and safety, GDPR, ICO, and broader building obligations. This includes maintaining accurate, audit‑ready documentation, overseeing training and certifications, and acting as the internal point of contact for inspections and external advisors.
* You will implement and manage preventative maintenance schedules, CAFM systems, and internal logging tools to track service requests, SLAs, planned maintenance, and compliance activity. You will provide leadership with clear visibility on performance, risk, and emerging issues through structured reporting.
* You will also support the production studio environment by ensuring infrastructure meets all technical, security, and health and safety standards.
Fit‑Out, Capital Projects & Infrastructure
* You will lead major fit‑out and infrastructure projects that shape the future of the HQ, including dismantling temporary studios, installing permanent digital studio technology, and delivering reception, gym, and front‑of‑house spaces.
* Working closely with designers, contractors, AV and IT teams, landlords, and internal stakeholders, you will manage timelines, budgets, approvals, and delivery from end to end. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to both functional and aesthetic standards, while keeping internal teams informed throughout the project lifecycle.
Budget, Procurement & Commercial Performance
* You will own all facilities‑related budgets, covering both day‑to‑day operational costs and long‑term capital investment. You will track spend, forecast future requirements, identify efficiencies, and present clear, structured reports to leadership.
* You will drive commercial value across operations by renegotiating service charges, improving contracts, and delivering cost‑saving initiatives where possible - without compromising quality, safety, or compliance.
Commercial Spaces & Amenities Management
The London HQ is a multi‑functional environment that extends beyond traditional office space. It includes production studios, gym/wellness area, and an in‑house cafe concept designed to enhance the daily experience of the building.
* You will oversee the operational performance of all commercial and amenity spaces within the HQ, ensuring they operate seamlessly alongside core business functions.
* You will lead the appointment and ongoing management of third‑party operators, holding them accountable to agreed commercial terms, service standards, compliance requirements, and brand expectations.
* You will ensure that all amenities are safely operated, commercially viable, and aligned to the highest standards for quality and experience.
* You will bring experience managing complex, multi‑use environments, ensuring office, production, hospitality, and wellness functions coexist effectively within one high‑performance ecosystem.
Who You Are
