Sustainability Assurance Assistant Manager - Boutique Management Consultancy – Financial Services
As part of a leading UK (privately owned) Advisory firm, working closely with financial services clients across banking, insurance and building societies, this FS Consulting practice is expanding its Sustainability & Non-Financial Assurance capability.
This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for someone looking to move beyond traditional audit into a broader, consultancy-led role, or someone already in consultancy with this experience looking to step up. Here you will have early responsibility and real influence.
The role:
As a Sustainability Assurance Assistant Manager, you’ll play a hands-on role delivering limited assurance engagements across sustainability, ESG and non-financial metrics, while helping to shape and evolve the firm’s assurance methodology.
This is not a tick-box audit role. You’ll have:
* Greater autonomy and professional judgement
* Lead on the delivery of non-financial assurance
* Ability to carve out your career and the future prospect of leading their Sustainability Assurance offering
* Direct exposure to Partners and senior clients
* Broader work across sustainability, risk and consulting
* Early responsibility for delivery and client relationships
* A clear and accelerated pathway as the practice continues to grow
This role is ideal if you:
* Are ACA or ACCA qualified
* Have a background of non-financial assurance and/or carbon accounting - ideally from a management consultancy
* Experience of leading workstreams and engaging directly with clients
* Are comfortable thinking independently and applying judgement
* Have a genuine interest in sustainability and ESG
* Want faster progression and broader exposure than a traditional audit track
* Knowledge of implementation of ISSA 5000
Experience with ISAE 3000, ISAE 3410, carbon accounting is of great interest too.
London (hybrid)
Base salary up to £60k + 10% bonus + benefits
