Progress Teachers are delighted to be working with an inclusive and nurturing primary school in Birmingham, supporting their search for a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated SEN Hub. About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with the SENCo, class teachers, and wider support team to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Your role will involve:

Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils within the SEN Hub.

Assisting with the delivery of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
*
Promoting engagement, independence, and emotional wellbeing in every learner.
*
Using a variety of communication and sensory approaches to enhance learning experiences.
*
Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and parents/carers to achieve consistent, positive outcomes.
*
Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:

Passionate about supporting children with special educational needs.
*
Patient, empathetic, and adaptable in their approach.
*
Skilled at building strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
*
Experienced in supporting children with additional needs (school-based experience desirable).
*
Confident using positive behaviour management techniques.
*
Qualified to Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent).
*
DBS checked and on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
