Job Description
Assistant Accountant responsibilities:
9. Prepare and process financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner
10. Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
11. Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently
12. Support the team with budgeting and forecasting activities
13. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies
14. Work collaboratively with other departments to manage financial data
15. Assist with year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors as required
16. Contribute to process improvements within the accounting and finance function
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
17. A strong foundation in accounting principles and financial processes.
18. Sage 50 experience is beneficial.
19. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
20. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly.
21. A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
22. Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance are preferred
