Research Nurse – Haematology Portfolio
Join Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust as a Research Nurse in the Research & Development Directorate. You will manage an academic and commercial research portfolio in Haematology, providing clinical support to investigators and ensuring high quality patient care within research studies.
Responsibilities
* Deliver and clinically manage a portfolio of Haematology research studies.
* Provide research support to investigators, ensuring compliance with MHRA and other regulatory bodies.
* Monitor and care for research participants, maintaining accurate records and ensuring patient safety.
* Develop and implement recruitment processes to maximise patient enrolment in academic and commercial studies.
* Coordinate clinical aspects of trials, participate in patient recruitment, assessment, and ongoing care.
* Support and develop research staff, provide training, supervision, and motivate staff positively.
* Maintain professional relationships with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
Development Path
Initial placement at Band 5 for 6 months. During this period you demonstrate objectives: driving and growing the research portfolio; maintaining quality standards; working under pressure; building relationships; supervisory responsibilities; staff motivation. Successful achievement leads to promotion to Band 6 Senior Research Nurse.
Qualifications & Skills
* Current registered nurse.
* Experience in research (clinical or academic).
* Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work autonomously with guidance from senior research nurses.
* Understanding of regulatory requirements (MHRA).
* Experience in supervising and managing HR situations within scope of practice.
