About the role
As one of our Installation Specialists based in a Customer Delivery Hub, you'll have the opportunity to bring our John Lewis service directly to customers' homes, installing products such as furniture, kitchen appliances, sound systems, and TV sets as part of a 2-person delivery crew.
Note: You must be 18 years or older to work in this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Represent the John Lewis brand with excellent customer service.
* Assist in loading deliveries with the warehouse team.
* Respect customers' homes and handle unexpected situations professionally.
* Install products efficiently and demonstrate their use to customers.
* Stay updated on new products and technologies.
* Maintain a safe working environment.
Essential Skills and Experience
Previous installation experience is preferred but not required; training and accreditation will be provided. Other requirements include:
* Manual C1 UK driving license (max 6 points).
* DCPC and Tachograph Card.
* Experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
* Customer-facing experience.
* Excellent verbal communication skills.
* Physical ability to handle large items.
* Good understanding of technology.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* White goods installation and disconnection.
* TV installation.
* Flat pack assembly.
