The Role
We're looking for a Paint Sprayer, Shotblaster and Yard Operative to join our growing team. You'll be responsible for preparing, shotblasting, and painting skips and waste containers to a high standard. The ideal candidate will be motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently to meet deadlines. You will manage another operative in this team.
As a Yard Operative, we are looking for someone who is experienced in yard work, driving a forklift/telehandler to move work around the yard and to move waste containers through our refurb process. The role will include recording deliveries and collections of work into the yard, carrying out and documenting repair surveys and also completing stockchecks on materials and supplies.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out paint spraying using pressure pot and airless sprayers
* Work in warehouse, spray booth, and outdoor shotblasting areas
* Prepare and finish surfaces using grinders, shotblasting machines, and hand tools
* Measure and mix paints accurately using precision instruments and basic maths
* Apply signage and decals to finished skips and containers
* Managing containers movements through the refurb process
* Documenting deliveries and collections
* Completing Waste Container damage reports
* Materials stockchecks
* Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
* Maintain cleanliness of spray booths, shotblasting pads, and equipment
* Always wear appropriate PPE as required
Skills & Experience
* Experience in industrial paint spraying and shotblasting
* Knowledge of warehouse operations and materials handling
* Basic math skills for measuring and mixing paints and stockchecks
* Attention to detail and performing quality checks
* Ability to use precision measuring tools
* Skilled with hand and power tools
* Fabrication or welding experience a strong plus
* Forklift licence/experience would be an advantage

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
