Associate Director – Investment Management Development
London – this position is based in London; other locations will not be considered.
Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to support the Head of Development and Development Directors in shaping, executing and delivering development business plans. This role involves managing relationships with external joint venture partners while also taking direct responsibility for development management on Aviva Investors‑controlled assets. You will lead the creation and oversight of business plans, drive development strategies to maximise returns and ensure effective capital deployment. Working closely with asset specialists, fund managers and analysts you will oversee design teams, manage budgets and identify innovative opportunities for value enhancement. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills, maintain market insight and embed ESG principles into all development strategies. This is a dynamic position requiring strategic thinking, risk management and collaboration to deliver exceptional investment performance and uphold Aviva Investors’ reputation as a leading real‑estate investor.
Responsibilities
* Support the Head of Development and Development Directors in shaping, executing and delivering development business plans.
* Manage relationships with external joint venture partners.

Qualifications & Experience
* Track record of delivering development projects that deliver value to fund performance.
* High‑quality planning and organisational skills used to channel efficiency and innovation.
* Experience dealing with all types of stakeholder in the development process.
* Evidence of innovative thinking and an ability to turn ideas into reality.
* Analytical capabilities to underpin recommendations to the business, including the ability to clearly evidence and assess ROI, provide NPV, forecast cash flows and understand key drivers of IRR and profitability.
* Director level experience (minimum).
