We’re seeking an innovative Industry Director to own, run, and grow our Central & Devolved Government industry. You will manage the entire P&L, set the strategic vision, and galvanise a high‑performing team to double our industry revenue from £25M to £50M within three years.
Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to enhance Made Tech’s presence and impact within central government, providing thought leadership on digital transformation, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions relevant to central government needs. Drive the execution of the Industry strategy and individual account strategies within your client portfolio.
* Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders within central government departments and agencies. Collaborate with clients to understand their challenges and objectives, positioning Made Tech as a trusted partner for delivering tailored solutions.
* Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a multi‑disciplined team of client partners, business development executives, technical specialists, industry delivery directors and strategic partners, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement. Ensure employee satisfaction and high level of communication and engagement across your direct and indirect team.
* Operational Excellence: Maintain strong operational standards and provide robust management and coaching of your team to support achievement of growth targets. Monitor and analyse key performance metrics to optimise your team’s effectiveness and drive business growth.
Qualifications
* Proven track record of inspiring leadership in a similar role, with a focus on central government clients. Demonstrated ability to manage high‑performing teams of 100+ people, including coaching, influencing diverse skill sets and achieving measurable results.
* Deep industry knowledge of the central government landscape, policies and challenges. Familiarity with current technology trends and their application to government initiatives. Experience working with key UK government clients such as HMRC, DWP and DEFRA.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels. Experience operating at senior levels in government and leading a CDIO, COO or CEO‑level network.
* Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, able to translate complex issues into actionable plans. Ability to create a compelling vision, business plan and differentiated value proposition for the industry portfolio.
* Significant P&L management experience, with annual P&L in excess of £50m. Demonstrated financial management skills, balancing cost control with investment for growth.
Security Clearance
All successful candidates for this role must have eligibility for SC clearance, requiring 5 years of continuous UK residency and an employment history (or full‑time education) of 5 years. Non‑eligible candidates will not be progressed.
