We aim to deliver the highest level of service and experience for our visitors and customers, demanding the very best from ourselves whilst working as a team every day.To help us deliver exceptional service we are seeking to recruit a Marina Operative to assist with marina operations at Penton Hook.You will be passionate about providing the best possible levels of customer service and will put the safety and the needs of the customer first every time.
You will deliver an outstanding customer experience, exceeding expectations daily.This is a full-time position working up to 42 hours each week 4 days on and 4 days off in a cycle of 12-hour shifts, supporting the marina operations activities. The successful applicant will be required to attend various training in the initial period of employment as part of a full induction process.The role will include but not limited to:Provide a meet and greet service to all members and visitorsOverseeing the berthing allocations of vesselsTo carry out general maintenance tasks as requiredEnsuring the telephone is answered in the correct and timely mannerTo ensure all customer enquiries are dealt with both promptly and efficientlyAssisting in actively marketing and promoting the marina and associated servicesMaintaining the security of the siteCarry out all duties in line with Company policies, particularly focused on compliance with H&S and Customer Service standardsThe key requirements for this role are but not limited to:Enthusiastic and friendly with a flexible and positive can do attitudePrevious experience in a customer service environment (in a leisure/marina/hospitality industry an advantage)General maintenance skills (not essential but an advantage)Self-motivated and able to work without supervisionSound awareness of basic health and safety in the workplaceConfident use of IT systemsA practical, resourceful and common-sense approachGood practical boating skills/qualifications (not essential but an advantage)Competent swimmer (essential)Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalentThese are exciting times to join MDL.
