About the Role
An inclusive specialist school in Swindon, catering to children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Needs, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant. Graduates in Psychology, Counselling, or Criminology are encouraged to apply, along with candidates with relevant experience.
The students, aged 5 to 18, struggle with emotional regulation stemming from childhood trauma, leading to stress, anxiety, attachment issues, and depression. Your role will involve supporting pupils in managing their emotions, fostering trust, and assisting with classroom tasks alongside the class teacher.
All students have significant developmental trauma and behavioural challenges. You will support their well-being and personal development, aiming to enhance self-esteem and remove barriers to learning.
