Overview

Avery Healthcare is one of the UK's largest providers of luxury elderly care homes, offering exceptional care across their growing network of over 100 homes. They are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join their award-winning team as a Food and Beverage Team Member.


Responsibilities

* Support the dining service and assist residents with their meals.
* Help residents choose their meal options.
* Ensure dining tables are set to standard operating procedures and the front of house is clean and well-presented.
* Replenish fresh homemade cakes/biscuits, finger food, and fresh fruit options throughout the day.
* Be aware of residents' dietary requirements and accommodate them as appropriate.

About the role: Your focus as a Food and Beverage Team Member is to support the dining service and assist residents with their meals. Other responsibilities include: helping residents choose meal options when dining; ensuring the dining tables are set to SOPs; keeping the front of the house clean, tidy, and well-presented; ensuring dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day; ensuring fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are available in the bistro areas and replenished, as well as finger food and fresh fruit options; being aware of residents’ dietary requirements.

About you: To succeed in your application, you will live the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable in all you do. Our ideal candidate must have: high standards of personal hygiene; experience working in a similar setting (restaurant or hotel) would be desirable; a basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be beneficial; demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of culinary services to residents.

Please note this role will require: A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare. Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

Qualifications

* Demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
* Experience working in a similar setting, restaurant, or hotel would be desirable.
* A basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be beneficial.
