The role:
This pivotal and fast-paced role is responsible for supporting the planning and delivery of all First Team travel, transport, and player logistics operations, ensuring a seamless and world-class experience for players, coaches, and staff. This includes domestic travel, coordinating accommodation and itinerary planning, and working closely with Club departments to support overall travel/logistic support. Reporting to the Team Manager, you will be instrumental in maintaining elite standards across all logistical touchpoints in support of on-pitch perform
Key Responsibilities:
Travel & Logistics
* Provide administrative support to the Team Manager in the end-to-end coordination of all First Team domestic travel.
* Liaise with airlines, hotels, transportation, and other third-party providers to deliver cost-effective, discreet, and high-quality travel solutions.
* Managing hotel contracts, rooming lists, dining, function spaces, exclusivity requirements, and security in coordination with hotel staff and intermediaries.
* Working with the Team Manager to build and manage bespoke itineraries covering departures, arrivals, team meetings, hotel details, meals, dress codes, and transfers, in collaboration with coaching, medical, performance, and kit departments.
* Attend pre-fixture visits to new or complex venues to finalise travel, hotel, and operational arrangements when required.
* Collate and prepare comprehensive travel packs for the Team Manager, containing all relevant away fixture information.
* Remain on call as the primary point of contact to ensure smooth communication and seamless transitions between domestic travel touchpoints.
* React swiftly to changes in plans (e.g. match rescheduling, weather disruption) and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
* Maintain and update a centralised First Team travel calendar in line with match schedules, international breaks, and Club commitments.
* Liaising with host clubs and governing bodies on logistics, arrivals, facilities, medical arrangements.
* Provide support at home fixtures with player parking arrangements and ticketing requirements.
* Thorough understanding of Team Manager responsibilities to step in if required.
About You:
* Experienced in managing elite-level travel logistics within sport, corporate, or high-performance environments, with exceptional administrative and organisational capability.
* Proven ability to stay calm under pressure, solve problems quickly, and communicate effectively.
* High level of personal integrity, discretion, and attention to detail.
* Committed to delivering a first-class experience to high-profile individuals in demanding environments.
* Comfortable working irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and international travel.
* Passionate about football and player wellbeing, with a service-oriented approach.
* Highly organised and collaborative, with a proactive mindset and strong follow-through.
What You Will Bring:
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* Demonstrable experience in managing high-end or large-scale travel logistics (sports, corporate, entertainment, or military sectors).
* Full, clean UK driving licence.
* Strong planning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent IT proficiency, including MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
* Experience handling confidential information with professionalism.
* Working knowledge of visa, customs, and immigration requirements for international travel.
* Understanding of safeguarding principles and best practices.
* Ability to manage competing priorities in high-pressure, fast-paced settings.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
* BA or BSc in Sports Management, Events, Business, or related field.
* Experience in a First Team or elite performance environment.
* FA Safeguarding Children or equivalent certification.
* Familiarity with Premier League regulations and operational requirements.
* Knowledge of health and safety, risk management, and crisis response planning.
