Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 tutor to provide in-school support for a young person with additional needs who is working towards GCSE Maths and English qualifications.
This rewarding role requires a patient, flexible, and engaging tutor who can deliver personalised learning, build confidence, and support the student in achieving their academic goals.
Role Details:
* Location: School-based in Leigh, Lancashire
* Start Date: September 2026
* Schedule: 3 days per week
* Hours: 2 hours per day (morning sessions)
* Subject Areas: GCSE Maths and English
* Competitive hourly rate
Requirements:
* Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs/SEND
* Strong knowledge of the GCSE Maths and English curriculum
* Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Relevant teaching, tutoring, or educational support experience
* Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
