Registered Manager
The Opportunity
Back to Back Care currently offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced registered manager for supported housing. We are a rapidly expanding company who specialise in young people's services, dedicated to improving the lives of young people living in care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the residential care home in compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide effective leadership and supervision to the staff team, ensuring they are supported, motivated and trained to deliver high-quality care.
- Develop and implement care plans and risk assessment care plans and risk assessments for child or young persons, ensuring individual needs and preferences are met.
- Oversee recruitment, induction, and ongoing training of staff, fostering a positive working environment.
- Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders such as local authorities and regulatory bodies. Ensure compliances with health and safety procedures, and legal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding procedures, and legal requirements.
- Manage the home’s budget effectively to meet the needs of the children and young people in our care.
- Act as the designated safeguarding lead, responding promptly to any concerns or incidents.
Recruitment and Leadership:
- Provide effective leadership and management of the residential home.
- Recruit, induct, and train staff in care safeguarding
- Ensure highest standards of care are maintained at all times.
- Promote education, physical health and emotional well-being among young people.
Operations Focused:
- Aim to achieve an outstanding Ofsted rating.
- Manage and support the home staff team, assess performance, and provide training.
- Stay updated on relevant legislations and company policies.
- Ensure support workers follow health and safety/safeguarding rules and are familiar with all company policies.
- Address inspection report recommendations promptly.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years senior experience in children’s residential care.
- NVQ Level 5 Diploma in leadership and management for residential childcare (or equivalent)
- NVQ Level 3 in children and young people’s workforce.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation including Children Act 1989 and Children’s Regulations 2015.
- Excellent communication leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people.
- Good or Outstanding rating in recent Ofsted inspections.
- Up to date DBS.
