Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Children in Care Team as a Personal Advisor.
Main duties of the job
Our children in care team, which sits within care and placement services, provides a direct service to young people (16-25 year olds) preparing to leave care and those who have left care and are living in the community.
As a Personal Advisor, you will be responsible for working directly with young people. Having your own caseload, you will provide advice, information, and support to both young people and colleagues. Developing close and effective working relationships with key agencies will be essential to facilitate a coordinated response to the needs of care-leavers and vulnerable young people.
We are looking for someone enthusiastic who ideally has experience working directly with children, young people, and families. You will have a good knowledge of the assessment process and supporting young people into adulthood. The ability to remain organized, and maintain accurate plans, reports, and records is essential. You should be equipped with the ability to manage competing caseload demands and have a strong and genuine commitment to championing the needs of vulnerable children and young people.
