As a Lead Project Manager, you’ll take on a role that’s out of the ordinary, leading multiple complex projects that directly support the Royal Navy and national security. This is an opportunity to influence high-profile programmes, drive innovation and develop your leadership skills in a dynamic environment.
Day‑to‑day you’ll be:
- Managing customer and stakeholder relationships to ensure seamless delivery.
- Leading integrated project teams to achieve performance targets.
- Establishing and maintaining governance arrangements for projects.
- Planning, monitoring and controlling project delivery.
- Driving continuous improvement across processes and outcomes.
This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Thursday 07:15 – 16:45 and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience
- Proven expertise in project management and risk management techniques.
- Strong understanding of business processes (HR, Finance, Commercial).
- Experience with procurement and process improvement.
- Demonstrated leadership capability.
- Proficiency in business applications.
Qualifications
- Professional project qualification such as APM PMQ or PRINCE2.
- Working towards or holding chartered membership of a relevant body (RICS, CIOB, CIBSE, APM, PMI) or equivalent experience.
- Relevant HND or substantial experience in a similar role.
- Level 5 or above Leadership and Management qualification or significant leadership experience.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance.
