Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Kitchen Manager/Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food, and experience in food production and preparation. Duties
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards.
* Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
* Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
* Conduct regular training sessions for kitchen staff on culinary techniques, food safety, and hospitality practices.
* Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate supplies.
* Create a positive team environment that encourages creativity and collaboration among kitchen staff.
* Responsibility over rotas, hiring and training the team with the assistance of the GM.
Experience
* Proven experience in a culinary leadership role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
* Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
* In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* A passion for culinary arts with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
