The Opportunity
Reporting into the General Counsel, this is a broad and hands‑on role supporting the business across commercial, technology, and data‑related matters. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business providing practical legal advice in a fast‑paced commercial environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a 3+ PQE lawyer looking to take ownership of high‑quality work, build strong business partnerships, and develop within a growing organization.
You will:
* Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including customer agreements, supplier contracts, partnership agreements, NDAs, SaaS agreements, software licensing arrangements, technology procurement agreements, master services agreements, and technology‑related terms.
* Advise on legal and commercial risk across the contract lifecycle, helping the business close deals efficiently while protecting the company’s interests.
* Support data privacy and protection matters, including GDPR, UK GDPR, data processing agreements, vendor due diligence, privacy notices, and data‑related contractual provisions.
* Work closely with sales, product, procurement, finance, and operational teams to provide pragmatic, solutions‑focused legal advice.
* Help develop and improve contract templates, playbooks, policies, and internal processes to support scalable growth.
* Assist with broader legal matters as required, including regulatory, compliance, corporate, and governance‑related projects.
* Build trusted relationships across the business and act as a practical advisor to stakeholders at different levels.
Experience & Skills
* 3+ PQE, with strong commercial contracts experience gained in private practice, in‑house, or a combination of both.
* Experience advising on technology‑related agreements, ideally including SaaS contracts, software licensing, cloud services, platform terms, IT services, or digital products.
* Good working knowledge of data privacy and protection matters, including GDPR and UK GDPR.
* Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives and provide clear, practical advice.
* Confidence working directly with business stakeholders and managing multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment.
* A proactive, collaborative, and solutions‑oriented mindset.
* Interest in technology, SaaS, digital products, data‑driven businesses, or innovation‑led organisations would be highly advantageous.
