About The Role
Please note that this is a full-time role working night shifts, 38.5 hours per week. Full flexibility is required.
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Everyone working here understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories, and by joining us, you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give back to them.
Your responsibilities will include planning and implementing care that provides residents with security, dignity, and independence. You'll get to know residents and their families, helping to deliver personalized care plans.
Leading a team of Care Assistants, you'll maintain high standards of care and influence the team positively. Whether demonstrating how to use a walking frame, assisting at mealtimes, or communicating with families, kindness will be your guiding principle.
Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through activities, and administer medication as needed.
Maintaining accurate records and building strong team relationships are key aspects of the role.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (S/NVQ) and be willing to work towards Level 3 or equivalent. Experience in person-centered care planning and caring for people with dementia is preferred. The most important qualities are your positive energy, ability to connect with people, good record-keeping skills, and effective time management. Your communication should always be considerate and kind.
