We're looking for enthusiastic and dedicated ASC Teaching Assistants to join our team across a number of SEN Schools across Weston-Super-Mare.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people aged 2-19 with ASC and associted communication difficulties and behaviour that challenges.
What you'll be doing as a ASC Teaching Assistant:
1. Supporting pupils with additional needs in their learning, development and emotional growth
2. Working closely with class teachers to create engaging and interactive activities
3. Helping children develop social skills and positive relationships
4. Maintaining a safe, supportive and nurturing environment
5. Making a genuine difference to young people's lives every day
What we're looking for:
6. A genuine interest in supporting young people, especially those with ASC
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
8. Patience, empathy and resilience
9. Previous experience with PECS and Makaton is a bonus - but not essential as full training will be given
The role:
10. Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, term time only
11. Pay: from £100 per day
12. Flexible: part-time or full-time options available
13. Start: Immediate starts available (with potential for permanent contracts for the right person)
14. Location: Weston-Super-Mare SEN Schools
