Your role
will lead the group's Data Management Strategy, encompassing approaches to Data Quality, Data Cataloguing, Metadata & Lineage, Master Data Management, and Reference Data, while developing and implementing data modelling practices. You will establish a Centre of Excellence to promote data management adoption using Agile methodology, and create a Data Management Council for RSA.
You will build a team of Data Management specialists that partner with the business, technology, and architecture functions across the group, managing critical data entities throughout their lifecycle from definition and creation to archiving and destruction.
About You
You will have extensive leadership experience in establishing a data-fluent organization through effective data foundation design and delivery, including data governance and quality. Experience in financial services, particularly insurance, is essential.
You should have practical experience with data modelling, data architecture, data foundation, and governance. Ability to lead stakeholders through change, bridging technology and business, and influencing decisions is crucial.
You should possess knowledge of data management technologies and tools, including experience with Databricks and Azure cloud-based data tooling. A DAMA certification is preferred.
