High Intensity Therapist CBT - Fixed term maternity cover
Mind Matters Surrey NHS is an NHS Talking Therapies service looking for an enthusiastic and motivated CBT therapist for fixed term maternity cover.
Overview
Your role will be delivering evidence-based interventions, one to one and in group settings, to adults (aged 17+) who have a range of Anxiety and Depression related problems. You will join a strong, supportive team which is part of the Surrey and Borders NHS Partnership. Responsibilities
* Assess clients for suitability for psychological interventions
* Formulate, implement and evaluate therapy programmes for clients
* Deliver CBT and other psychological formulations in a clear, sensitive way
* Adhere to an agreed activity contract relating to client contacts and clinical sessions to minimise waiting times
* Attend multi-disciplinary meetings where appropriate
* Complete data collection requirements and maintain coherent records in line with service protocols
* Work closely with the team to maintain stepped care, including step-up and step-down arrangements
* Assess and address work and employment issues within the overall therapy process
* Carry out clinical audits and contribute to service evaluations
* Liaise with other health and social care staff from a range of agencies
Qualifications and Experience
* IAPT Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Therapies
* BABCP membership/accreditation (provisional/full)
* Recent evidence of working as a CBT Therapist within IAPT/NHS Talking Therapies
* Good IT skills and excellent communication; ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and other services
* There is a requirement to work a minimum of 1 late night (Mon–Wed, 8pm) or a Saturday per week and to offer 2 in-person clinics
* In-person clinics will be based across Surrey according to service need
