Warrington School Meals Team manage catering operations in schools across the borough. The School Meals Business Manager role is central to the service delivery supporting schools to have access to quality hot meals for their children.

The role
This business management role supports the efficient and cost-effective delivery of the School Meals Service through robust financial management, effective procurement, and supplier oversight. The postholder ensures optimised menus and full compliance with School Food Standards and food hygiene regulations.
What's needed?
Relevant experience in managing or supervising a catering service is essential. The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of statutory health and safety legislation and School Meals Standards. They will also possess a strong understanding of procurement processes and demonstrate proven experience in contract management, including ongoing performance monitoring to ensure the delivery of a cost-efficient and high-quality service. Demonstrable experience in the effective financial management of a service is essential.
