The Falmouth Hotel is one of Cornwall's best located hotels situated opposite Castle Beach with a spectacular view over the Falmouth Bay The hotel consists of over 71 bedrooms forming different individual styles and views, along with our Castle View Restaurant & Bar, Leisure & Spa Facilities with indoor swimming pool along various events spaces which accommodates meetings, weddings and events. The hotel following a recent takeover is now part of The Cornwall Hotel Collection and operates alongside The Greenbank Hotel in Falmouth and The Alverton Hotel in Truro.
Now under local ownership after 20 years we are working hard to develop the hotel and as such a development plan for The Falmouth Hotel new chapter is very much underway, with this in mind and with the growth and development of the business we are now looking for hospitality individuals to join us on our journey as we embark on our new beginnings. As part of our recruitment plans we are now looking to recruit an Assistant Housekeeping Manager working to the needs of the business generally 4/5 days per week. This a great opportunity to join a developing department as we embark shortly on a renovation of all of our accommodation areas.
The position involves weekends and also due to the nature of the business will be required to work during peak seasonal holidays.

You will be part of a challenging department in achieving high standard of customer care, creating the ultimate customer experience within our busy and vibrant hotel.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness standards are met
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures
- Inspect rooms and public areas to guarantee they meet hygiene regulations
- Train new housekeeping employees on cleaning techniques and safety procedures
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Handle guest complaints or special requests promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Previous experience in a housekeeping manager or hotel supervisory role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively
- Excellent organizational skills to coordinate staff schedules and tasks
