Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
* Record daily financial transactions (sales, purchases, expenses, etc.)
* Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
* Process invoices, payments, and receipts
* Manage accounts payable and receivable
* Assist with payroll preparation and related tasks
* Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports
* Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts
* Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
* Work with accountants for year-end financial statements and tax returns
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
* Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, )
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
* AAT qualification (or working towards) is desirable but not essential
