Role and Responsibilities
Your Key Responsibilities:
Commercial owner of DTC MX forecasting and sales planning, working in partnership with Commercial Category Managers. This role will:
Be accountable for the sellout forecast management for MX DTC:
* Manage the ongoing line-level sales forecast for all product categories to drive weekly stock orders through SCM Operations.
* Monitor weekly sales trends and adjust sellout forecast according to sales performance.
* Become an expert in the internal Supply Chain planning systems and input commercial forecasts directly.
* Report significant changes in sellout forecast to the relevant Commercial partners in DTC and MX division.
Be the commercial owner of business target & forecast setting planning processes:
* Coordinate the sellout target / forecast setting schedule with Finance, Operations and MX Division partners.
* Own the delivery of weekly and monthly forecast updates and quarterly target setting to feed into SEUK and global business planning processes.
* Incorporate a variety of factors into forecast and target planning, including performance trends, market insights, seasonality and promotional plans.
* Work with Operations and Finance teams to navigate variables between planned sales through the checkout on Samsung.com and billed net sales.
Provide clear and timely reporting on outputs of our sellout forecast:
* Highlight risks to the sales plan ahead of time and be jointly accountable with Commercial Category Managers for finding resolutions.
* Report on forecasting accuracy over various dimensions: 1-week, 4-week, 8-week, monthly (Sokbo) and quarterly / six-month (Shilheng).
* Monitor and raise Aged Stock / Out Of Stock issues to Commercial Category Managers and the Leadership Team ahead of time.
* Report on progress against these objectives on an ongoing basis, holding Commercial Category managers accountable to issue resolution.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve supply chain planning processes:
* Clear understanding of business processes and supply chain standard methodology.
* Innovate and deliver new ways of simplifying complex business planning processes with a variety of different partners cross functionally.
* Influence a variety of partners and teams in the organisation and deliver process optimisation through others.
* Gain commitment from cross functional teams and hold them accountable to agreed processes and ways of working
Skills and Qualifications
What we need for this role!
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
* Experience in a Sales & Operations Planning forecasting role in a multichannel or PurePlay retailer.
* Strong understanding and application of forecasting processes and standard methodologies.
* Understanding of and ability to work within different Supply Chain strategies (e.g. JIT supply model) and navigate complex business processes.
* Strong communicator, with clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
* Analytical, with the ability to digest and understand complex data sets and make recommendations accordingly.
* Achieving results through others (Influencing vertically through the org).
* Systems expert – can quickly learn and interpret complex systems, with the ability to simplify the output on behalf of the team.

* Accurate sales forecasting across short, medium and long term dimensions.
* Cross-functional consensus on monthly (Sokbo) and quarterly / six-month (Shilheng) targets.
* Demonstrate ability to be a driving force for your area of functional expertise: a self starter with ambition to grow and develop in the role and team.
* Own, iterate and improve on business planning and forecasting processes, managing strict adherence to these cross-functionalities.
