About You
As the Maintenance Strategy & Planning Advisor in the Asset Management and Maintenance Advisory team, you will provide subject matter expertise across the rail systems and infrastructure domain to ensure that Ricardo continues to provide high quality technical consultancy and related services to its clients.
Responsibilities
As Maintenance Strategy & Planning Advisor you will:
1. Provide rail systems and infrastructure asset management and maintenance advice for railway operations and maintenance projects.
2. Support the planning and conduct of asset management and engineering activities
3. Help foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement within the team as well as providing mentorship to junior members.
4. Attend client's office and other sites as required to support with the provision of advice on technical matters.
5. Develop technical reports as required to support decision making.
6. Produce and provide technical SME asset management and maintenance inputs, methodologies, and information for business development activities and proposals.
7. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and project managers, to ensure seamless delivery of our services.
8. Identify potential risks and issues, and support with the development of mitigation plans to ensure successful project completion.
9. Provide support to the Ricardo business development team, including providing technical inputs for bids and tenders.
Experience
Essential
10. Professional engineering qualifications
11. Minimum of 10 years rail industry experience, including at least 5 years’ experience in railway asset management and maintenance delivery.
12. Sound understanding of systems engineering principles.
13. Experience in maintenance planning for railway infrastructure assets (including track, civils, signalling and systems)
14. Experience in the development of technical maintenance plans / maintenance works programs for rail assets.
15. High level of autonomy and ability to proactively achieve required outcomes
16. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and foster collaborative relationships
17. Organized and able to meet deadlines.
Desirable
18. Chartered professional engineer.
19. Experience in asset management and maintenance planning in an ATO/UTO operating environment will be highly regarded.
20. Experience in maintenance optimisation for railway assets (infrastructure and/or rolling stock desirable).
21. Experience in RAM analysis techniques and tools.
22. Familiar with the application of ISO 55000 series standards.
