We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our integrated Mental Health team at HMP Five Wells. HMP Five Wells is a category C resettlement prison based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, housing around 1,687 patients. In this role, you will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and will be supported by a second Psychiatrist who is also our national psychiatry lead.
Hours
This position can be offered as either full time (5 days per week) or part time (2 or 3 days per week). Working hours are based on 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday.
Salary
You will receive an annual salary up to £189,900 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
* Provide excellent clinical care, assessment, and treatment to patients on the caseload onsite.
* Participate in the strategic direction of the mental health service, lead senior mental health clinicians on service developments, and provide clinical supervision.
* Work within the multidisciplinary team to review referrals, determine appropriate treatment plans, conduct risk assessments, and engage in complex case reviews.

Qualifications required
* Registered with current GMC registration
* Specialist Registration in General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry
* Approved under section 12(2) of the MHS 1983
* Understanding of multidisciplinary and multi-agency working
* Up-to-date knowledge in adult psychiatry and PD
* Awareness of current mental health service issues, policy, and legislation
