Provide and receive highly complex, highly sensitive or highly contentious information, using developed persuasive, motivational or negotiating skills. Challenge with confidence established scientific and clinical views using reasoned argument, personal knowledge, research finding and evidence from the literature to continually improve the clinical care of patients Participate in and chair meetings within Clinical Chemistry and maintain effective two way communications with all staff members. The post holder is expected to establish and maintain networks with professional, clinical and managerial colleagues within this Trust and beyond it, both locally and nationally. Develop and maintain links with all users of the service e.g.
GPs and community based staff regarding quality and service issues. Participate in multidisciplinary clinical teams discussing highly complex information. Constant communication with clinical colleagues about investigations required, explaining results and advising on further action. To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust.
This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries.
