Overview
You will be responsible for the delivery of a proactive, customer focused, housing and tenancy management service within a geographic area, working in partnership with other parts of the organisation, as well as external partners.
Responsibilities
* Deliver excellent customer service, being creative and innovative within your role.
* Manage an area including tenancy and estate management, anti-social behaviour, safeguarding & tenancy sustainment, delivering a customer focused approach.
* Create vibrant communities across Blaenau Gwent.
* Develop strong and effective working relationships with other teams and external partners to ensure tenants & customers receive an outstanding and seamless service.
* Work with partners to identify when tenants are struggling to sustain tenancy and offer appropriate support; implement and monitor a wellbeing plan for at‑risk individuals.
* Deal with breaches of tenancy conditions; make decisions on appropriate actions; assist in preparing legal paperwork and represent at County Court where necessary.
* Undertake regular community inspections to ensure gardens, open spaces and pathways are maintained, clean and hazard free; address issues identified.
* Lead on identifying and project-managing neighbourhood improvements to agreed procedures, helping to maximise tenant involvement.
* Tackle access issues for servicing (gas and electric), including where required legal action.
* Represent at multi‑agency meetings including Safeguarding conferences; comply with protocols and ensure timely submission of information.
* Meet key housing performance targets.
* Comply with organisation confidentiality and information security policies at all times.
* Comply with Service Level Agreements and contracts related to their service area.
* Observe and promote Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy.

Essential
* Knowledge of the social housing sector in Wales
* Tact and diplomacy
* Ability to travel as part of the job, in a timely manner
Desirable
* Experience in the social housing sector
* Experience using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel & PowerPoint
* Experience of using Northgate or a similar management system
* Experience of dealing with tenants and the public within the RSL sector
* Experience of legal work / court work
