Location & Terms
* Location: Remote first, flexible working arrangements, with all UK based locations considered. Office spaces in London, Bristol, Birmingham, Exeter.
* Term: Permanent, Full Time (40 hours/week or by agreement).
* Salary: Competitive, based on experience and skills.
* Grade: Associate Director, managing transport planning consultants, reporting to MD.

Role Overview
Seeking candidates with expertise in sustainable transport, spatial planning, and net zero development. Experience in local transport plans, active travel, policy development, and proven sales/tenders is essential. Key responsibilities include leading consultancy projects, business development, stakeholder engagement, and team management.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and lead the Transport & Net Zero Development offerings.
2. Manage resources, staff development, and mentoring.
3. Oversee project delivery, quality assurance, and technical support.
4. Lead technical modelling, analysis, and advice.
5. Support business growth through strategic pursuits and client relationships.
6. Represent City Science to clients and stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
Ambitious, proactive, customer-focused, with deep technical knowledge in transport and sustainability. Extensive experience in consultancy, proven sales record, excellent communication, and leadership skills. Degree in a relevant technical/scientific field required.
Additional Requirements
* Experience with public sector tenders, zero carbon transport, and local transport plans preferred.
* Knowledge of GIS, visualisation, and stakeholder engagement beneficial.
